We are delighted to welcome Blaine to school every Friday for the next few weeks to teach athletics to both classes. Blaine works with Jake our Active Schools Co-ordinator and we are very appreciative of the skills the children are learning with him.
VE Day Celebrations
As this year was the 80th Anniversary since VE Day we decided to mark it with a Garden Party on the afternoon of Thursday 8th May, inviting families to join us for the afternoon.
During the week all pupils were involved in baking and other preparations for the event. It was a great success and another chance for us all to have lots of cake!
Thank you to the many families who joined us on the day, we are very lucky to have so much support.
Easter Extravaganza!
This year our Technology morning, where children decorate their eggs or tatties, had the theme of VE Day, seems it is the 80th Anniversary this year. All pupils had clearly thought out and planned their creations making it yet another year where the judges struggled to make a decision. Well done to all the pupils!

Roots of Empathy
Primary 1-4 are delighted with their visits from mum and her baby, who are visiting every few weeks, along with Shirley who facilitates the visits. The children are enjoying watching him change and grow, and to be able to observe his development over time.

P5-7 Weaving
As part of their IDL topic about The Clearances, P5-7 have been learning about tartan and how it is made. We were delighted to have Thereza, our PSA, bring in her loom and teach us how to weave cloth.
