School House Development

We are currently having work completed at the school. The School House attached to the main school building is being redeveloped and will provide the school with new internal toilets, a break out space for staff and pupils,  and much needed storage space upstairs.

We are very excited by the work that is being done and can’t wait to see the finished result at the end of Term 2. Here is a wee update of how the work is progressing…

Primary 7 ASG Trip

Every year alll of the Primary 7 pupils from the feeder schools for Invergordon Academy come together and have a trip away. This allows the pupils to get to know each other better, away from school, to help with their transition into secondary.

This year our P7 pupils went to Glasgow for two days and an overnight stay. As you can see from the photos much fun was had by all, including mini golf, roller bowl and a visit to the Science Centre.

VE Day Celebrations

As this year was the 80th Anniversary since VE Day we decided to mark it with a Garden Party on the afternoon of Thursday 8th May, inviting families to join us for the afternoon.

During the week all pupils were involved in baking and other preparations for the event. It was a great success and another chance for us all to have lots of cake!

Thank you to the many families who joined us on the day, we are very lucky to have so much support.

Easter Extravaganza!

This year our Technology morning, where children decorate their eggs or tatties, had the theme of VE Day, seems it is the 80th Anniversary this year. All pupils had clearly thought out and planned their creations making it yet another year where the judges struggled to make a decision. Well done to all the pupils!

HOPE Charity Donation

We were delighted to receive a donation from a local charity. Two of the pupils from P5-7 accompanied Miss Lowson to their awards ceremony to collect the cheque. We are delighted to have recieved this money and will put it to very good use.

Roots of Empathy

Primary 1-4 are delighted with their visits from mum and her baby, who are visiting every few weeks, along with Shirley who facilitates the visits. The children are enjoying watching him change and grow, and to be able to observe his development over time.
