Invergordon Street Fayre

On Saturday, parents and pupils held at stall at the Invergordon Christmas Fayre. Lots of parents supported this event by making and providing crafts and then helping out on the day. The proceeds of the stall are to go towards the P7 Residential Trip in April.

Thank you to all who helped!

Technology

P4-7 have been developing their confidence and being creative with textiles in Technology. They had to design and make a bag and have been learning how cut and tack and then use a sewing machine! This was all linked to what they were also learning in Maths for measure.

Operation Stage

We know it is getting close when the stage comes out! What fantastic team work, the pupils were a GREAT help! The pupils were laughing at the moves we had to do to get the stage slotted in!

Not long now until our Winter Shows!

JRSO Assembly

Today our JRSOs did an assembly to the whole school and they were talking about road safety and how important a high viz and a seat belt are. All children in the school are asked to wear a High Viz to and from school.

Here are our JRSOs presenting at Assembly and writing this BLOG post! jrso 3

Community Partnership

This morning Scott Boyd and Dale Pryde-Macdonald from Ross County and Paul Smith from Pallet Services Invergordon came to see the work going on through Ross County’s Sponsor a School Programme. Paul attended Newmore as a Pupil which is why sponsored us.

We presented Paul with a Thank You card where the pupils wrote messages about the programme.

Thank you to Paul for his support of Newmore Primary! We are VERY grateful.

Swim Team

swim team

Yesterday, this fabulous group of pupils competed in the Annual Ross Shire Sports Association Swimming Gala at Alness Swimming Pool. The team did exceptionally well and narrowly missed 1st place by 1 point.

This was a great achievement to come 2nd place in our group!

Well done!
