Well done to our County Sports team who travelled to Dingwall today to participate in different athletics competitions. As always, our Newmore pupils did the school and their families proud.
We are delighted, after a very long wait to show off our new fence at Newmore.
This will bring an added level of security for us all. All visitors to the school have to go to the main building to sign in and gain access. Therefore staff will be able to much more closely monitor movement within the school.

Today the school sold cakes and yellow wrist bands as part of the Highland Hospice Wear Yellow Day.
A massive £114.50 was raised! A huge well done and thank you to everyone involved.

P1-4 are brainstorming some suggestions for the new school Values. They are working together to come up with what the value sounds like, looks like, feels like and the meaning. Also, we are currently running a competition to come up with a new school motto.
Well done to our Football Team who took part in the Ross Shire Schools Football Tournament today despite it being a very soggy and miserable day.
Eventhough they needed some thawing out once they got back they represented the school brilliantly and as always I am so proud of our pupils.

Our school JRSOs (Junior Road Safety Officers) attended training today to learn how to carry out their new important job. They will inform and remind the children how to stay safe on the road. We will now start planning their first task in this new role.
The children were a joy to take out and they thought it was, ‘so much fun.’
Big excitement! Our new outdoor classroom has arrived! Due to be built soon! We are looking forward to using this in a variety of ways, from whole class outdoor learning to small groups etc. Keep a look out for other changes to our playground to promote outdoor learning!
I am a very proud Head Teacher this morning.
7 of our pupils have been going to Milton Primary for the past 8 months to join their J Rock Team. The dance and soundtrack was created by a 6th year Dance Leader from Invergordon Academy, she displayed such talent, commitment and enthusiasm for our team.
This has been an amazing opportunity for them, last night, they performed at Eden Court in front of hundreds of people. They told the story of the HMS Natal, it was a fantastic performance which was very moving.
Huge well done to all the pupils, staff and parents who helped make this possible.

Marine Scotland were visiting us today to tell us about their job and to show us a selection of fish recently caught and landed in the Highlands.
Thank you to Jane and Lauren for coming to visit us. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt lo
