This has been a busy term so far with lots of visits, and visitors, including the Fire Service and teachers from Invergordon Academy. We have spent time with our friends up at Ardross Primary, and we are enjoying being outdoors now that the weather has improved.

We are curently working on an art competition for the RNLI and practicing athletics for our Sports’ Days, more of this will come in the next post!

Happy New Year!

It has been another busy term here at Newmore. We sadly have finished our block of gymnastics, which we have all thoroughly enjoyed! A very big thank you to Fyrish Gymanstics for our Monday visits, hopefully we can return very soon.

Our P7s had a super trip to Edinburgh with the other schools in the ASG, and they were fantastic ambassadors for Newmore Primary.

We celebrated World Book Day and had a fun afternoon den building and then reading by torchlight

If your child will be five years of age on or before 28 February 2025, then it’s time to enrol them for Primary 1.
The new session starts on 20 August 2024.
Enrolment week for Highland schools is Monday 29 January to Friday 2 February 2024.
To enrol your child, or for further information on completing the online form, the enrolment process, catchment
areas, Gaelic Medium education, school transport and placing requests visit http://www.highland.gov.uk/enrol.
Please note that once you have enrolled your child online, the school will contact you to arrange the necessary
induction for your child.
Although you may wish your child to attend a school other than your local primary school, you must first enrol at
your catchment area primary school and then make a placing request.
If you do not have access to the online enrolment process, please contact your catchment school office during
enrolment week.

Invergordon Off The Wall

We were invited, along with our friends from the other primary schools to join this event. We visited the town the week before so that we could design some art work and write poems which were displayed around the town on the day of the event.

Despite torrential rain we had a super time visiting all of the murals and finding out about their stories. We learned lots about the history of our town.
